Spanish V

Hello everyone! In this final installment of the Spanish videos, we will finish up our vowels and wrap up by revisiting our ten sample Spanish words and applying the rules that we learned. Remember, Spanish is a very phonetic, consistent language so these rules will work almost all the time! Enjoy!

Please do not forget to donate to water.org if you have not done so already. Any amount is greatly appreciated. We have around two more months to meet our goal! Spanish IV

Happy Saturday everyone! This week, we will take a look at vowel sounds in Spanish. In this installment, we will start with vowel sounds pertaining to “a”, “e”, and “i”, and we will finish up the rest in the next video. Spanish vowels give Spanish its beautiful lilting sounds, and they are fairly consistent and easy to learn. Enjoy!

Also, many thanks to those who have contributed to water.org. Your donation is sincerely appreciated 🙂 If you have not already, please help my cause. The link to the donation site can be found at http://give.water.org/fundraiser/1507/. We can help make a difference!

Spanish I

Good afternoon everyone! Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Now we will start our study of another Romance language, Spanish. Spanish is closely related to French, which we have already covered, and also comes from Latin as well, which we have looked at also. In this first video, we will take a look at its background, some sample words to get you acquainted with the style of the language, and some common stems that pop up quite frequently. Enjoy!

Also, please don’t forget to donate to water.org to help make a difference in people’s lives! The donation link can be found at https://spellingmantra.com/donation/. All and any donations are welcome; thank you to those who have helped out already.

Finally, I have put the link to Scott Remer’s Words of Wisdom (2nd Edition) book in the Introduction post. Scott has been an invaluable mentor and I would like to thank him for all he has done.

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year 2014!
