2016 Scripps National Spelling Bee!!!

Good morning everyone!! I hope everyone is having a wonderful wrap-up to the school year and a fantastic beginning of summer!

For me personally, I have spent this past week coping with my (bee)pression following the 2016 Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C. This year the bee itself was nothing short of unforgettable, stunning, and historic — there were amazing words that were asked and even more amazing spellers on stage who blew me away completely. My heartiest congratulations to our new co-champs Jairam Hathwar and Nihar Janga and to each and every other speller because we all know that you ALL ARE CHAMPIONS!!! Also a very special shoutout to those spellers and their families whom I got to speak with and who shared that they have been watching the videos on this blog in preparation for the bee — thank you so much Sreeniketh, Rutvik, Sylvie, Mitchell, and the rest of you for your support and on a job well done! I don’t think I will ever witness such a spectacular spelling bee in my life ever again 🙂

However, the best part of Bee Week 2016 for me, and for everyone else I’m sure, was the plethora of memories and treasured moments that will stay with us forever. From the National Zoo to the Kindle Presentation to the DC trip to the Awards Banquet to the Farewell Party, each and every moment was filled with smiles and laughter and memories that will last us all a lifetime. So I please ask all of you to revel in these life-long friendships that you have made and to keep in touch with everyone — it is these moments that fill our hearts and stay with us forever and make Bee Week the best week in the entire year 🙂

Hope to see you soon with some new videos and interesting words!

With all my love,

Stuti
